K-12 is the new "Prime Target" for Ransomware and Cyber Criminals. We will explain how to absolutely ensure, cost effectively, even for small school districts, continuity of IT operations. (ie near zero downtime and virtually no impact)

BitSight’s ransomware report from 2016 revealed that the Education was “the most impacted group [of the study], with findings showing that more than 10 percent of these companies [surveyed] had some form of ransomware on their networks.” That number is pretty alarming, considering those organizations probably did not know about the dormant malware. The same report also found that educational organizations were the most at risk of a ransomware attack. One reason that educational organizations are at such high risk is because of the valuable student information they store. The cost of recovery can be very high, with highly valuable records costing an average of $200 per record to recover, making them desirable targets for hackers. Most recently, Monroe college in New York experienced a ransomware attack, with ransomers demanding $2 million to return their precious data. We can spend time and money on a wide variety of security tools and systems, but ultimately, they can all be compromised (and statistically they will be within the next 3 years). So, how do we ensure zero data loss and no interruptions of operation for our school districts. The only sure answer is "ransomware immune next generation backup."
